This is the landscape of my forthcoming novel, PAS This is the landscape of my forthcoming novel, PASTURE OF HEAVEN. ("Forthcoming" - oh how I love to write that word!) The high pastures of the Altai Mountains have been the home of pastoral nomads for thousands of years.

(No, I didn't take this photo--I WISH!
It's a composite I created from several photographs on Unsplash.)

It's official! My historical novel, PASTURE OF HEA It's official! My historical novel, PASTURE OF HEAVEN, will be published by Regal House Publishing in May of 2024. After waiting for so long for my second novel to find a loving, happy home, I'm honored and thrilled to share this exciting news.

PASTURE OF HEAVEN is the story of Akmaral, a nomad woman warrior confronting love and death as she fights for her people on the Central Asian steppes in the 5th century BCE. It was inspired by several archaeological discoveries in Central Asia, including the Ice Maiden on the Ukok Plateau, called the “Pasture of Heaven” by the people of the Altai Mountains of southern Siberia, and the “Gold Man” of Issyk, a warrior burial that researchers believe might actually be a woman. But the story of my central character grew out of one question, what would a woman like me fight and die for? The answer was clear: she would fight to protect her family. And so Akmaral was born.
Please share this new journey for me, especially those who might have wondered where the HECK is Judith’s next book! Well, now you know the answer.
